Madame Géminis Londoño, escritora, periodista y colaboradora de las ediciones especiales en el periódico digital Disparates News, se ha infiltrado en un congreso de científicos e investigadores en inteligencia emocional y artificial. La reportera ha descubierto un plan siniestro: una banda de ciberdelincuentes ha vulnerado la seguridad de una corporación pionera en robótica emocional y ha sustraído la información personal de miles de clientes. Como es sabido, los hackers pretenden usar los datos recopilados en la nube para manipular las emociones de los usuarios.
En este reportaje, Madame Géminis nos relata un hecho inusual, algo que ha conmocionado a los delegados de un Congreso dedicado a las generaciones futuras.
Una de las participantes, emocionalmente afectada por su experiencia personal con la robótica, interrumpe la sesión y comienza a relatar como, un ataque de celos ha sido el causal de que su matrimonio, en la actualidad, se enfrente a una crisis existencial. Su marido se ha obsesionado con la chica robot que recién ha comprado. Según su esposo, lo único que desea y satisface, es sentarse a conversar con la chica robótica.
Desesperada y furiosa, la mujer emprende a llorar y exclama: observen mi figura y sean sinceros, ¿Ustedes creen que yo pueda competir con alguien que ha sido creado con tanto esmero? Sus medidas se acompañan de una imagen maravillosa, 90-50-90. Su peso y masa corporal es el ideal, el que gustaría a cualquier mujer. Es atenta, inteligente, comunicativa y, para mi gusto, demasiado conversadora. Mi marido dice que esta chica me supera en todo y para completar, alega que es incapaz de contradecirle.
Los asistentes, perplejos ante la actitud de la delegada, ocultan sus rostros en evitación de que los vean reír. Tremenda algarabía que se ha formado en el recinto. Un verdadero escándalo, diría yo, cada cual, desde su punto de vista, defiende sus criterios. La presidencia ha pedido cordura e insta a que se respeten los derechos de cada uno de los delegados. La Seguridad Ciudadana del País ha irrumpido violentamente en el local. Está solicitando el auxilio del NINE, ONE, ONE. Éstos, sin dudarlo, han acudido de inmediato y prestos a colaborar, asisten a la mujer y la conducen a urgencias médicas.
Desdichadamente, expresó la presidenta: hoy hemos visto cuánto daño emocional puede causar el uso abusivo de los robots. Una asistente virtual de tecnología avanzada, se ha convertido en la adicción de un usuario. Ignoramos cuán atrapado puede estar el esposo de la delegada y qué tipo de emociones recibe al dialogar con su chica-robot. Tan siquiera imaginamos la razón por la cual el marido prefiere a la inteligencia artificial antes de compartir intereses con su esposa humana.
Sugiero que, de alguna manera, nos apartemos del Orden del Día relacionado con “los hackers, los datos en la nube y la manipulación de las emociones de los usuarios” y nos enfoquemos en la inteligencia emocional, en la sociedad actual que al parecer no ha sido entrenada para crear nuevos hábitos de comportamiento.

THE THREAT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: a fictional report that could become reality.
Madame Géminis Londoño, writer, journalist and contributor to special editions in the digital newspaper Disparates News, has infiltrated a conference of scientists and researchers in emotional and artificial intelligence. The reporter has discovered a sinister plan: a gang of cybercriminals has violated the security of a pioneering corporation in emotional robotics and has stolen the personal information of thousands of clients. As is known, hackers intend to use data collected in the cloud to manipulate users’ emotions.
In this report, Madame Geminis tells us an unusual event, something that has shocked the delegates of a Congress dedicated to future generations.
One of the participants, emotionally affected by her personal experience with robotics, interrupts the session and begins to relate how an attack of jealousy has caused her marriage, currently, to face an existential crisis. Her husband has become obsessed with the robot girl he just bought. According to her husband, the only thing he wants and satisfies is to sit and talk with the robotic girl.
Desperate and furious, the woman begins to cry and exclaims: look at my figure and be honest, do you think I can compete with someone who has been created with so much care? Its measurements are accompanied by a wonderful image, 90-50-90. Her weight and body mass is ideal, what any woman would like. She is attentive, intelligent, communicative and, for my taste, too talkative. My husband says that this girl surpasses me in everything and to top it all off, he claims that she is incapable of contradicting him.
The attendees, perplexed by the delegate’s attitude, hide their faces to avoid being seen laughing. Tremendous uproar that has formed in the venue. A true scandal, I would say, everyone, from their point of view, defends their criteria. The presidency has asked for sanity and urges that the rights of each of the delegates be respected. The Citizen Security of the Country has violently broken into the premises. You are requesting help from NINE, ONE, ONE. These, without hesitation, came immediately and were ready to collaborate, assisting the woman and taking her to medical emergencies.
Unfortunately, the president said: today we have seen how much emotional damage the abusive use of robots can cause. An advanced technology virtual assistant has become a user’s addiction. We don’t know how trapped the delegate’s husband may be and what kind of emotions he receives when talking to his robot girl. We can’t even imagine the reason why the husband prefers artificial intelligence before sharing interests with his human wife.
I suggest that, in some way, we move away from the Agenda related to “hackers, data in the cloud and the manipulation of users’ emotions” and focus on emotional intelligence, in today’s society that apparently does not has been trained to create new behavioral habits.
